Add Light, Add Value

As many who have moved to Spokane discovered; Spokane has basements. For decades, basements were used for storage. Houses built on sloping lots have daylight basements. These houses sold for more because the basement was usable living space. Now you can make any basement warm comfortable living space.

Newer houses have basement egress windows required by code. With egress windows basements are lighter and feel open. When finished, these areas can double usable living space for a reasonable cost.

Home owners frequently ask; “what can we do to raise the value of out home?” If you have an older home, add large egress windows. The immediate benefit of egress windows is family safety. The bonus is wonderful natural light. Even new construction houses can often benefit from additional egress windows for more daylight.

A bright basement is a usable basement. If left unfinished, buyers still view bright basements as excellent opportunity for expansion. Basement egress windows not only make a home more usable and safer today, they increase desirability and value when you are ready to sell.
